How to Register

  1. Contact one of our locations for more information.
  2. Schedule and complete a language assessment at the YMCA Assessment Centre. Call 905-526-8452 to book an appointment.
  3. Join a Waitlist.
  4. Start classes.

Sessions

You can start any time from September to June

Fees

No cost for permanent residents, refugees (including claimants), and naturalized Canadian citizens

Eligibility

Adults over the age of 18

Childcare and bus tickets may be available permanent residents and refugees (not claimants)

Courses and Schedule

All our classes are designed to help with daily life in Canada. Instruction is based on the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLBs).

English Every Day

Monday to Friday (9 a.m. to 2:05 p.m.)

  • All day classes are offered in-person
  • Childcare is available for permanent residents and refugees (not claimants)

Night school

Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday (6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.)

  • All night classes are in-person
