Summer Credit Programs
Looking to upgrade a Grade 12 mark?
If you are unsatisfied with your grade for a Grade 12 course, here’s your chance for a redo! Boost your university prospects with the Summer School Upgrades Program!
Running July 16–29, 2026, Grade 12 University English, maths and sciences are being offered (course list below).
If you passed your course but didn’t reach your target grade, this is your opportunity to improve your mark before the final August university grade upload to OUAC. Your upgraded mark will be reported to OUAC (along with your original grade), giving you the best chance at your preferred university program.
The Upgrade Program is open to HWDSB Students only.
Note: Students must have already passed the course in order to register for an Upgrade course.

Summer Upgrades registration closes July 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Program Information
Dates: July 16 – 29, 2026
Delivery: Online, asynchronous classes
Tutoring: Live support available on MS Teams for one hour each day. Teachers will notify their students of their live meeting hours.
Course work deadline: Final submission date for all course work and quizzes is July 29, 2026.

Registration
Course registration is available through myBlueprint. These courses are labeled as UPGRADE in myBlueprint.
Students must have passed the course during the 2025-2026 school year in order to register for an Upgrade course.

myBlueprint Instructions
1. Go to the HWDSB student website: students.hwdsb.on.ca.
2. Click on MyBlueprint and log in.
3. On the left menu, click on Continuing Education.
4. Choose Explore Courses.
5. Select Summer School.
6. Pick the course you want to take.

Other Important Information

Students participating in the Summer School Upgrade program must complete all assignments in a timely manner in order to upgrade their mark.
Respect for teachers, peers, and all staff members is essential to maintain a positive learning environment. Failure to meet these expectations may result in disciplinary actions, including being asked to leave the program. Your cooperation and commitment to these guidelines are appreciated.
SUPPORT:
Special Education Resource Teachers are not available to make modifications to, or create accommodations within, the Summer School Upgrade Program. Every effort will be made by the participating teachers to support and enhance the learning of each student. Students with individual learning needs are welcome to attend and participate with the above understanding. HWDSB is committed to protecting your personal information.
Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel, combine or relocate programs based on interest and/or staffing.
Students are limited to choose either ONE upgrade or Summer School course each year.
